Leadership Training: 5 Steps to Recycle Right for DC Schools - Compost Edition
This 2-hour recycling leadership training seminar prepares a team of responsible staff (the responsible administrator, operations lead, education lead, and up to 3 additional staff or students) to implement the “5 Steps to Recycle Right” for DC schools including organics recycling (composting). The training consists of a building walk-through informed by the DCPS Recycles! Honor Roll checklist with a focus on areas that generate organic (food) waste; and includes a discussion of how to prioritize strategies according to the food waste hierarchy and a facilitated team planning session which generates an action plan with immediate next steps.
